May 2019 – Updates + Contact

Hello, world! If you’re viewing this post, it’s probably because of the NPR article or Deaf Out Loud (which is still available on iTunes, Amazon Prime and Hulu.)

By the way, the week that Deaf Out Loud aired (in September 2018), it became the #1 downloaded reality t.v. show and the #7 overall on iTunes. We’re not surprised — it’s really, really good. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out. Even the New York Times picked it as a “must-see.”

We’d love to work with you. Public speaking, consulting and/or advocacy — you name it, we can make it happen.

Please feel free to check out our website (all the information is still current.)

We’re also VERY active on social media… which is where we’re putting most of our networking energy these days.

Wedding/Event Planning

One of the services that Posner Inclusion, LLC also provide is Wedding/Event planning. In the past two weeks, Rachel was asked to coordinate two significant events, one being a gala for a national education-related organization and a wedding.

As a wedding coordinator, Rachel maintained contact with all vendors and venue management during the planning stages and acted as a liaison on behalf of the bridal party and all participants.

Utilizing her creativity and expertise, she coordinated the details based on the wedding party’s vision. Furthermore, she was able to prep the vendors and venue management on what to expect regarding the evening, which required seamless communication up until the moment the newlyweds were sent off, happily ever after.

Let’s have a conversation about how Posner Inclusion, LLC can help you plan your next corporate or personal event. You can reach us at our easy-to-use form and we’ll take care of the rest.

We’d love to hear from you — let’s talk about it over lunch.

“In addition, A&E has also announced that the Sept. 5 season finale (of Born This Way) will be followed at 10/9c by the debut of Deaf Out Loud, a documentary special from EP Marlee Matlin that follows the lives of three predominantly deaf families as they raise their children in a hearing world.”

12/17 – Updates

It has been a very busy month at Posner Inclusion, LLC. We recently secured a long-term partnership with a local school district, providing ASL-related consultations for their Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students.

Mick was also recently featured in the book, Inspiring Equality, which tells the stories of different people that makes up the fabric of West Hartford’s community. For more information, please visit:  https://we-ha.com/inspiring-equity-offers-unique-look-west-hartfords-diversity/

We are looking forward to 2018 – new projects, partnerships and ventures. Thank you all for your continued support.

Over the last few months, we partnered with Bunim/Murray. If the name rings a bell, they’re the folks who brought you Born this Way, MTV’s Real World and Road Rules and Project Runway, to name a few. It was an incredible experience and a honor to work with some of the finest people in the industry.

With Posner Inclusion, LLC, one of our mantras is that nothing is impossible. If you can think of it, you can make it happen. Whether it’s on-screen or behind the scenes, we will find a way to help your business prosper. You could say that problem-solving is a hobby of ours and achieving goals is what we do best.

The idea of launching our own consulting business was something that we talked about doing for years. Truth be told, we’ve been doing this for a long time — both of us worked with different communities. It wasn’t until we had an opportunity to work with the amazing folks at Bunim/Murray Productions (along with their support) that our venture came to fruition.

Check out our site. Let us know what you think. Talk to us. Ask us anything.

We provide speaking engagements and consulting in many disciplines. Our focus is helping you — and your business — grow by connecting you to unique communities.

Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing & Police Interaction

Given the gravity of recent events between police and members of the deaf/hard-of-hearing community, we have recently developed a training program for police departments in the United States in order to assist them in becoming an even stronger resource for the under-served populations.

Part of what we cover:

  • What are the norms of Deaf Culture?
  • What does the ADA state if a deaf person requests an interpreter?
  • How to effectively mitigate risk factors when working with the deaf/hard-of-hearing citizens;
  • Communicating with deaf/hard-of-hearing children especially in emergency situations;
  • Learning basic ASL signs/commands that can be utilized in almost any situation.

Our training objectives, guidelines and outline is available upon request. Please do not hesitate to contact us at posner@gmail.com to initiate discussion on how we can best serve your municipality.

Or, if you prefer, you may use our easy-to-use contact form.
